On a day that started in disappointment for Scotland, they nevertheless triumphed with ease for an innings victory.
The disappointing start was due to the early dismissals of Watson & McCallum, who both were dismissed before adding greatly to their overnight scores. It then took a painstaking partnership of 70 in 110 minutes to retrieve the situation for Scotland before a further collapse ended their innings at a slightly disappointing 360.
Their spirits were revived when Paul Hoffmann ripped through the Namibia early order. He took the first five wickets to leave them buried at 35 for 5 after 15 overs. His rather surprising removal from the attack led to an improvement in Namibian fortunes but wickets still fell at regular intervals in between regular showers. The only real entertainment from a batting point of view was supplied by Kola Burger, who hit 3 sixes & 2 fours in a rapid 28. At the end it was a marvellous catch in the gully by Neil McCallum which rounded off the victory.
