The ticketing programme for the ICC Cricket World Cup West Indies 2007 will be announced at a media conference in Jamaica on Wednesday 23 November.
Details of the on-sale dates, purchasing process and ticket prices will be announced at the media conference but tickets will not be available for sale at this time.
The event will coincide with the official launch of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 website on which the media conference will be webcast.
Sponsors and media are invited to log onto the new website (https://www.cricketworldcup.com">www.cricketworldcup.com) at 10 a.m. (Jamaica time) on Wednesday November 23, 2005, where a link on the home page will direct users to the one-hour media conference which takes place at Island Life Auditorium, Island Life Building, St. Lucia Avenue, Kingston 5, Jamaica.
Media are kindly asked to note that, while they are invited to utilise the website, ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 West Indies Inc. requests that details of the webcast are not widely publicised beforehand as an appropriate bandwidth has been assigned for media only. Publicity of the website and the fact that the media conference was carried on it would, of course, be very welcome afterwards.
International media are also invited to utilise a direct line to interview media conference speakers following the event. The number for calls is +1 (876) 929-4869 and speakers will be available from 12 noon (Jamaica time).
Speakers at the media conference will be Managing Director ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Chris Dehring; Chairman of the LOC Sub-Committee on Ticketing Strategy and Barbados LOC CEO Stephen Alleyne; Chief Marketing Executive of the West Indies Cricket Board Darren Millien and ICC CWC 2007 Commercial Manager Stephen Price.
In his presentation, Alleyne will outline how the Sub-Committee and ICC CWC 2007 determined the ticketing structure while Price will disclose the full ticketing policy, including purchasing regulations and ticket prices for all matches. Dehring will look at Ticketing as a fundamental aspect of the ICC CWC 2007 Inc. strategy and policy for the Event while Millien will speak on behalf of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
