India primed to win again

Such was India's superiority over Sri Lanka in the second Test that they were able to discard Sourav Ganguly in the kind of ruthless style more normally associated with the Australians. Leading 1-0 with one match to play, starting on Sunday, they obviously don't need to win to secure the series, but at 21/20 (2.05) with bet365, they make some appeal to do just that and seal a 2-0 series triumph.
Sri Lanka, whose batting crumbled twice in Delhi, are 9/2 (5.50) to clinch a victory would would draw the series, while the draw is a 13/10 (2.30) chance. Indeed, draws have largely been the order of the day in Ahmedabad, venue for the third Test, with four of the seven Tests there having ended without a result. India have won two and lost just one on the ground, though that loss was more than 20 years ago.
With the pressure of trying to break the Test centuries record now off his back, it would be no surprise to see Sachin Tendulkar go on one of those stunning runs of big scores that he has made a habit of. After seven innings without a century before his ton in Delhi, don't expect it to be that long before he notches up another. Though he averages just 47 there, he has made one double century and one hundred, so clearly likes the place. He is 7/2 (4.50) joint favourite to be India's top-scorer in the first innings, together with the returning from injury Virender Sehwag.
Captain Rahul Dravid is 4/1 (5.00), while opener Gautam Gambhir, VVS Laxman and Wasim Jaffer - the man who's replaced Ganguly - are all 6/1 (7.00). Dravid could be the man to watch here, as last time he played a Test in Ahmedabad, he smashed 222 and 73. India bat almost all the way down these days, with Mahendra Dhoni not out of it at 11/1 (12.00).
Challenge awaiting Sri Lankans
As for Sri Lanka, they must be dreading having to face Anil Kumble after the India leg-spinner took 10 of the wickets to fall in Delhi. It's hard to see them getting anything out of this one, but Kumar Sangakkara, who is emerging as a batsman of real quality, deserves favouritism at 7/2 (4.50). Captain Marvan Atapattu and Mahela Jayawardene are both 4/1 (5.00), while Thilan Samaraweera and Avishka Gunwardene are both 11/2 (6.50). After the collapses in Delhi, though, you'd have to think that the top scorer will come from one of the top few in the order.
In the Man of the Match market, Kumble can probably hardly wait to get to Ahmedabad, where he has taken 22 wickets in his past three Tests, including another 10-wicket haul, against England, in 2001. Kumble is the 7/1 (8.00) favourite to repeat his feat in Delhi, while Tendulkar and Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan are both 8/1 (9.00) to pick up the award. Harbhajan Singh is 17/2 (9.50) while Sehwag is 9/1 (10.00) and Sangakkara and Dravid are both 12/1 (13.00).
