Having landed 5/2 odds by beating Australia on Sunday, India go from underdogs to favourites when they take on Sri Lanka in the latest match in the triangular Commonwealth Bank one-day series on Tuesday.
India are often better when the pressure is not on them to win and Sri Lanka have something to prove having yet to win a match in the series, but bet365 look to have got it about right, making India 8/13 and Sri Lanka 6/5.
However, Sri Lanka are dangerous, never more so than when they are written off, so I would be tempted to keep my money in my pocket for this one.
That's not to say that there are not bets to be had, of course.
Sachin Tendulkar continues to be in good nick and he is a worthy favourite at 5/2 to be his side's top runscorer, as he was in the match against Australia. Tendulkar looks like he is really enjoying himself at the moment, is fully fit, and that spells trouble for bowling attacks.
Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir are both 4/1, while Yuvraj Singh, a 6/1 chance is hopelessly out of form. The poor guy seems as if he has forgotten how to bat, but is too talented to be down for too long. I would still still clear for now though. Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni and Irfan Parhan are all 8/1.
For Sri Lanka, Kumar Sangakkara, their outstanding batsman of the past couple of years now, is 3/1 favourite, just ahead of his captain, Mahela Jayawardene at 7/2 and the old warhorse Sanath Jayasuriya, at 4/1.
Upul Tharanga is 9/2 and Chamara Silva and Dilruwan Perera are both 6/1.
With Yuvraj so out of form, though, the best bet for this one could be to back Sri Lanka at 31/20 to hit more sixes than India.
India are more correct in their batting than Sri Lanka, who love nothing more to start slashing sixes over third man. There probably won't be much in it, but take the generous price.
