India still good value for series

West Indies hung on gamely for a draw in the first Test in Antigua but though India have drifted slightly, they are still strong favourites to win the four-match series and look good value at 10/11 (1.91)

West Indies hung on gamely for a draw in the first Test in Antigua but though India have drifted slightly, they are still strong favourites to win the four-match series.
Rahul Dravid's side are 10/11 (1.91) to come out on top and nothing that happened in the first Test has changed my mind that though West Indies are improving, India are the better side and should come out on top.
West Indies are now just 5/2 (3.50) to win the series while the draw is the same price.
India have now won just 25 Tests in 190 away from their own country, a pretty sorry return. But, and there has been a definite progression in recent years, they have been improving and they have won eight of their past 20 Tests overseas.
West Indies' recent record is woeful, with just two wins from their past 20 Tests. At home it's only marginally better, with nine losses in that time.
In the correct score markets, the 1-1 draw is still the narrow favourite at 100/30 (4.33), from 9/2 (5.50).
India to win 2-0 is a 9/2 (5.50) chance while a 1-0 win is 5/1 (6.00). A 2-1 India win is 7/1 (8.00), the same price for a 1-0 West Indies win.
