Oman Cricket Council awaiting India's decision on festive match
India might have withdrawn from the Singapore Challenger and then the
Sahara Cup but the BCCI's moves has not prevented the Oman Cricket
Council (OCC) from organising a friendly match between India and
Pakistan in Muscat.
Quoting an OCC member Pankaj Khimji, the Dubal based Gulf News
reported that the association was confident of organising the event.
Khimji added that he was expecting to get the nod from the BCCI by the
middle of September.
Khimji said that the match would not be scheduled as an official Oneday International but only as a festive game. He added that it would
be played on an artificial strip. Khimji said that the intention was
to promote cricket in Oman.
