Former CBI Joint Director to head BCCI Disciplinary Committee
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), during their working committee meeting held in Chennai on Friday, appointed the former Joint Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) R Madhavan as the head of the BCCI Disciplinary Committee.

Speaking to the media after the meeting the president AC Muthiah said the Committee also includes himself along with Kamal Morarka and KM Ramprasad. He also said that a sub-committee comprising PV Subba Rao, Shashank Manohar and Ashok Kumbhat has been appointed to look into the affairs of the Board.

Muthiah said that C Ashok of Goa has replaced S Kangralkar in the national junior selection committee from South Zone, while Rajinder Goel (Chairman-North), Ashish Sinha (East), Shashikant Khandkar (Central) and Mahendra Rajdev (West) have retained their posts.

K Srikkanth nominated for ICC Technical Committee
Press Trust of India (PTI) reported on Friday that the former Indian captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth has been nominated as a member on the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Technical Committee. At present former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar is serving as a member on the ICC Technical Committee.

Speaking to the agency soon after his re-election as the President of the BCCI, AC Muthiah said that the ICC has accepted the nomination of Srikkanth as Gavaskar's replacement on the Committee.

ESPN to utilise `Namadgi' system of scoring for ICC tourney
The Managing Director of ESPN Software India Limited, Manu Sawhney, said on Friday that ESPN will utilise the `Namadgi' system of scoring and analysis during the live coverage of the forthcoming ICC Knock-out tournament in Nairobi to be played from October 3 to 15.

Speaking to the press in Mumbai, Sawhney said that ESPN - Star Sports would be the first organisation to use the Namadgi system for live ball by ball coverage. He said that the new system is a sophisticated scoring and analysis guide which would record and show the viewers what the ball did in the air, where the ball pitched and what it did off the pitch etc.

Apart from this the Channel will also launch an advanced, comprehensive and up to date cricket ratings in collaboration with Samsung. The ESPN will be taking into consideration the performances of a player during an 18 month period for the ratings.
