Former South African captain Keppler Wessels is of the view that
the South African team would have to struggle against the
Indians, despite India's recent poor performance in Australia.
``At home the Indians are a different kettle of fish,'' said
Wessels in an interview in Durban. He said that the Indians knew
the South Africans' strength lay in their pace attack and added
that it was unlikely that South Africa would find the conditions
in India favourable to pace bowlers. Elaborating, he said that
the South Africans should expect only spinning tracks in India
and that it was highly likely that the Indians would play three
spinners in the Test series.
There seems to be a doubt about the availibility of Paul Adams,
but Wessels said even if Adams went on tour, South Africa could
have a problem. ``The Indians demolished Shane Warne the last
time out so Adams will not be a deterent,'' he said.
