Injured Shane Bond replaced by Kyle Mills

Auckland Aces all-rounder Kyle Mills will replace Shane Bond in the TelstraClear Black Caps team to play Sri Lanka today (Tuesday, May 13) at Dambulla Rangiri Stadium, Dambulla

Auckland Aces all-rounder Kyle Mills will replace Shane Bond in the TelstraClear Black Caps team to play Sri Lanka today (Tuesday, May 13) at Dambulla Rangiri Stadium, Dambulla.
Bond strained his lower back while bowling during Sunday's match against Pakistan. He will be examined by a specialist to determine the extent of the injury when the team returns to Colombo on Wednesday.
Paul Wiseman will stay with the team as cover for Bond.
TelstraClear Black Caps coach Denis Aberhart said the injury was disappointing for Bond and the team because he had been bowling superbly.
"Although the conditions assisted him on Sunday, he consistently put the ball in the right channels and some of his deliveries were simply unplayable. It would clearly be a big blow to lose him.
"However Kyle has been training well with both the bat and the ball and we have every confidence he will contribute well against Sri Lanka."
The 11-man team is:
Stephen Fleming (captain)
Chris Cairns
Chris Harris
Brendon McCullum
Kyle Mills
Chris Nevin
Jacob Oram
Scott Styris
Daryl Tuffey
Daniel Vettori
Lou Vincent
The team will play two more matches in Colombo, one more against both Sri Lanka and Pakistan, before the two tournament finalists are decided.
