Israel youngsters enjoy ECC coaching camp

Israel U17 cricketers Danny Hotz and Michael Muchie, together with ICA coach Steven Shein, participated last week in a European Cricket Council Coaching Camp held at Bradfield College near Reading, south east of London. The camp provided an opportunity for European countries to send two of their leading young players for three days of coaching under the direction of ECC coach Richard O'Sullivan and a team of top European coaches.

Each day the players went through fitness sessions, batting and bowling drills, fielding exercises on the lush green fields of the college, and had net sessions in the indoor cricket center. Both Israel players made an excellent impression on all the coaches, and no doubt returned home much improved players as well.

Stopping in London on the way home, Muchie and Hotz were treated to a tour of the world famous Lords Cricket Ground. Their dream is undoubtedly to one day return to the home of cricket as players rather than spectators!
