The Jamaica Gleaner
The Headley Cup, symbol of rural supremacy in schoolboy cricket,
enters its semi-final round today with defending champions Holmwood
Technical opposing York Castle High at Alpart in one of two matches.
Many-time champions St. Elizabeth Technical (STETHS) will face Vere
Technical at Manchester High in another game. Both matches begin at
10:30 a.m.
The Robert Lewis-coached Holmwood Technical will look to key players
Jamaica Under-19 leg-spinner and captain Kevin Peart along with top
batsman Roger Solladon, pacer Evon McInnis and former Jamaica
Under-15 left-arm spinner Andre Dwyer to carve out a victory. York
Castle, coached by Cleon Smith, will seek victory through allrounder
Rashard Marshall, Derwin Hillock, and Glenmore Hall.
