The inaugural Milo Trophy Cricket competition final will be played tomorrow between Springston School and Windsor School, and will decided once and for all who is the best Primary School Cricket team in the Christchurch area for the Year 2000

The inaugural Milo Trophy Cricket competition final will be played tomorrow between Springston School and Windsor School, and will decided once and for all who is the best Primary School Cricket team in the Christchurch area for the Year 2000. The competition has proven to be successful, attracting entries from as far afield as View Hill, Windwhistle and Glentunnel, who only have a school roll of 35.
26 teams started out in the competition and the two finalists have impressed with unbeaten runs to make the final. Windsor had a comfortable victory in the semi final against Lyttleton Main, while Springston accounted for Woodend in a close match.
The final will see a classic Town versus Country encounter, with both sides having their fair share of players who have representative experience. It promises to be a close exciting affair. Springston have the home advantage, which will count for something, as they expect a sizeable crowd to be out in force.
They game will start around 11am at Springston School and with the format of the Milo Trophy being short and sharp, the winner should be know by 12.30pm.
