Mombasa hosts its first One Day International Series

The Kenya national cricket team takes on Bermuda in a series of three one day international (ODI) matches in Mombasa on 11th, 12th and 14th November 2006 at the Mombasa Sports Club

The Kenya national cricket team takes on Bermuda in a series of three one day international (ODI) matches in Mombasa on 11th, 12th and 14th November 2006 at the Mombasa Sports Club.
This will be a historical event for Mombasa as it will be the first ever officially accredited ODI series to be played in Mombasa, following the International Cricket Council's recent decision to award Mombasa Sports Club full ODI Ground status. These matches also mark the return of full international cricket to Mombasa after an absence of some four years.
Cricket Kenya are pleased to announce that Petro Kenya Limited have agreed to act as title sponsors for the series. Their sponsorship package of Kenya Shillings 400,000 will be utilised towards the hosting costs of the series.
ICC have appointed former England international Chris Broad to be the match referee for the series. The on field umpires will be announced shortly.
This series promises to be highly contested. Bermuda, alongside Kenya, have qualified to play in the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies.
Prior to their visit to Mombasa, the Bermudans play the Kenyan team in a 4 day ICC Intercontinental Cup fixture in Nairobi on 5th - 8th November at Nairobi Gymkhana.
