India may have slipped up on the cricket field, but no slip-ups as far as Star Wars goes: it's still Ian Chappell at No. 1, leading Sambit Bal by 126, down 12 points from Friday.
The first game, between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, was a good one for Ian. He had Tillakaratne Dilshan as trump, who gave him 242, and Younis Khan, who gave him 85. Sambit had Kamran Akmal as trump, who netted him just 90, but Shoaib Malik (78) and Saeed Ajmal (70), ensured Sambit wasn't trailing by too large a margin after that game.
For the second game, between India and West Indies, Ian and Sambit had common players - Rohit Sharma, Dwayne Bravo and Pragyan Ojha. David Lloyd was the only one to have Yuvraj Singh who gave him 232. "With only one trump it's like playing the Dilshan-shot- it's high risk for a reward," says Ian. "I'm placing a lot of faith in de Villiers continuing his run of form."
What could be crucial going ahead in the tournament are the number of transfers available. While Ian has 11 left, Sambit has 12. David and Sanjay Manjrekar are better placed with 17 and 22 respectively.
