Officials named for World Cup campaign

The HKCA has announced the appointment of officials for Hong Kong's campaign at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2010.

The HKCA has announced the appointment of the following officials for Hong Kong's campaign at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2010 to be played in New Zealand from 16-31 January 2010:

Team Manager : Tauseef Bukhari
Assistant Team Manager: Suresh Pandey
National Coach : Afzaal Haider
Assistant Coaches: Sher Lama & Najeeb Amar
Media Manager: Travis Pittman
Physiotherapist : Philippa Stewart

The team will also be assisted before and during the tournament by ACC Coaching Advisor Rumesh Ratnayake.

The Hong Kong team will depart for New Zealand on 1st or 2nd January 2010. They will undertake training and play a number of warm-up games (including matches against Sri Lanka U19 and Canada U19) before the tournament proper starts on 16th January. Hong Kong have been ranked 16th in the tournament and will against India, England and Afghanistan in the group phase of the tournament, with matches being played in the South Island city of Christchurch.
