Otago team for final round State Shield match named

The experienced Chris Gaffaney has been omitted from the Otago Volts squad for the final State Shield cricket match in Invercargill tomorrow.

Gaffaney has struggled in the one-day series, scoring just 55 in seven innings. His place has been taken by Simon Beare who enjoyed a successful season with the Otago 'A' side.

Otago will take an extended squad south for the match with Central Districts with another 'A' team player Anthony Wilkinson joining the touring party.

The squad for the final State Shield round-robin match is: Lee Germon (captain), Andrew Hore, Robert Lawson, Craig Cumming, Simon Beare, Martyn Croy, Nathan McCullum, Craig Pryor, Nathan Morland, David Sewell, Kerry Walmsley, James McMillan, Anthony Wilkinson.
