Lahore, Nov 8: The PCB chairman and its advisory council has apologized for the inconvenience caused to the cricket fans during the three one-day international matchs played between Pakistan and England.
According to a press release issued by the PCB, the apology was tendered during the two-day PCB advisory council meeting which ended at the Qadhafi Stadium on Tuesday.
The meeting chaired by the PCB chairman Lt-Gen. Tauqir Zia took serious notice of mismanagement during the one-day series, depriving scores of genuine ticket-holders from watching the matches held at Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
The meeting has discussed the arrangements for a grand dinner being hosted by the PCB at the Lahore Fort on Nov 19 to award five Pakistani players gold medals for rendering memorable services for the country. Chief Executive Pakistan General Pervez Musharaf will award gold medals to those cricketers namely Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Saeed Anwar, Moin Khan and Inzamam-ul-Haq.
