Lahore, Nov 8: The PCB chairman and its advisory council has
apologized for the inconvenience caused to the cricket fans during the
three one-day international matchs played between Pakistan and
England.
According to a press release issued by the PCB, the apology was
tendered during the two-day PCB advisory council meeting which ended
at the Qadhafi Stadium on Tuesday.
The meeting chaired by the PCB chairman Lt-Gen. Tauqir Zia took
serious notice of mismanagement during the one-day series, depriving
scores of genuine ticket-holders from watching the matches held at
Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
The meeting has discussed the arrangements for a grand dinner being
hosted by the PCB at the Lahore Fort on Nov 19 to award five Pakistani
players gold medals for rendering memorable services for the country.
Chief Executive Pakistan General Pervez Musharaf will award gold
medals to those cricketers namely Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Saeed
Anwar, Moin Khan and Inzamam-ul-Haq.
