A proposal to introduce an Under-15 World Cup challenge was discussed during the ICC Chief Executive's Meeting at Bhurban, Murree in October 1997, as result of which the England and Wales Cricket Board has offered to host the tournament

A proposal to introduce an Under-15 World Cup challenge was discussed during the ICC Chief
Executive's Meeting at Bhurban, Murree in October 1997, as result of which the England and Wales
Cricket Board has offered to host the tournament. The Under-15 World Challenge is thus planned to
be held in England in July/August 2000.The PCB has confirmed the participation of Pakistan Under-15
Team in the competition.
