Ponting to undergo fitness test in Sydney tomorrow

Ricky Ponting will undergo a fitness test and consult a specialist tomorrow (1 March 2000) to determine if he is fit to join the Coca-Cola Australian Tour of New Zealand 2000.

Australian team physiotherapist Errol Alcott will conduct a series of mobility tests with Ponting at Mascot Park in Mascot at 12 midday and then take Ponting to St Vincent's Clinic at St Vincent's Private Hospital at 1pm to see a specialist.

After the specialist's assessment, a final decision on Ponting's fitness will be made.
