Progress Update - National Development Committee

The following is a brief outline of Projects being implemented by the National Development Center headed by Mr. Duleep Mendis as part of the National Development Program

The Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club submitted several structural drawings to the National Development center requesting assistance in upgrading these specific areas.

Based on the said drawings the BCCSL, has approved financial assistance for the Tamil Union C & A C to modernize the existing dressing rooms to suit the demands of present day cricket. The construction will include combining both dressing rooms with a top floor as phase I and II.

The BRC being a Premier Division club and a significant part of top division cricket in Sri Lanka is to be affected by the Road widening. The BCCSL therefore has made arrangements as part of the National Development Program to assist the BRC in relocating their main turf - wicket.

The BCCSL will assist the Kadolkalle Grounds with basic requirements of dressing rooms and Umpires room which will contribute greatly towards better standards of cricket in the District.
