The Hong Kong Cricket Association is seeking a National Coach to help it to achieve its strategic plan "To promote, expand and develop the sport of cricket in Hong Kong, improving standards in all sectors of the game and increasing the participation from all sectors of the local community in cricket."
The Head Coach will:
  • Operate as Head Coach of the Hong Kong National teams, men and women.
  • Be responsible for identifying and implementing programmes for the development of all elite players (from youth to National Level).
  • Be responsible for continuously developing the coaching skills of all representative and domestic Coaches.
  • Work with the Fitness and Conditioning Coach to ensure optimal fitness of elite players.
  • Be responsible for managing the overall health and well being of the players and coaches.
  • Provide advice and guidance over the local player Academy programmes.
  • Coordinate and manage the High Performance player programme.
  • Work in a collaborative manner supporting the ethos of the HKCA Executive Committee, Staff and volunteers who work hard to implement the strategic plan.
  • Be able to assist with sponsorship and event management an advantage.
The role requires the incumbent to work during training schedules, tournaments and fixtures including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.
The Ideal Candidate
We encourage applications from candidates who have or possess the following:
  • A minimum of a Level 3 coaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years coaching experience at National level or High level teams in a domestic league.
  • Experience developing and mentoring Coaches.
  • Proven history of continued professional development.
