SLC launches island-wide search for bowlers

The Cricket Operation Department with the Coaching Unit of National Development Center of Sri Lanka Cricket are conducting a special coaching programme island wide to select Provincial Squads and the National Squad of fast bowlers, right arm leg spinner, left arm leg spinners and off spinners of under 14 & 16 age groups. These programmes are arranged through Provincial Cricket Associations where the District and Provincial Coaches assist the visiting National Coaches in identifying the talented bowlers. The video filming unit of the SLC also join these programmes to help the coaches in analyzing, identifying the technical errors and advising the bowler and coaches.

A specialized fielding coach conducts a 2-hour programme in teaching the basics on fielding.

We have already conducted this programme for,

Fast Bowlers Southern Province (3 districts) North Central Province (9 districts)

Left Arm Spin North Central Province (9 districts) Southern Province (3 districts), upto now.
