South Africa bounced back well to level the one-day series with Australia at one win apiece and now go into the third game of five with momentum on their side.
Graeme Smith's team played well in the second game and they will now look to push on as they try to win the series and ensure they are the No 1-ranked one-day side in the world.
The performance of left-arm paceman Wayne Parnell was the biggest eye-opener of the second match as his 4-25 ripped through Australia and left South Africa the easy target to knock off with ease.
Parnell may not have quite so much luck in the third game, to be played in Cape Town on Thursday, now that the Aussies know a little of what to expect, but he looks a real prospect and South Africa may have found their next spearhead.
Bet365 make South Africa 4/5 to win the match, while Australia are even money.
Smith is the 11/4 favourite to top-score for his side and there is no doubt that his presence alone clearly galvanises South Africa. Herschelle Gibbs is next at 7/2, with Jacques Kallis 4/1 and Hashim Amla 9/2. AB de Villiers is 5/1 and JP Duminy a 6/1 chance.
Australia's batsmen have struggled for consistency in recent times, including Ricky Ponting, but the skipper is the obvious favourite to top-score for his team at 3/1.
Michael Clarke and Brad Haddin are each 4/1, with brothers Michael and David Hussey each 5/1 and Marcus North 13/2.
I think South Africa should win this match, while their opening partnership is also strong, so take them to get the better opening stand, too.
