With all of the sporting action over the next few days, it's definitely worth checking the latest prices on offer from Sporting Index. If you have not tried spread betting before, their site gives you a thorough overview of how it all works, and they also have some generous offers to tempt you in - they're currently offering free bets worth up to £500.
Over the coming week, amongst other things Sporting will be offering prices on:
  • FA Cup 4th round
  • Liverpool v Newcastle will surely be the highlight of the weekend, and on their present form, then "buying" total goals would seem a safe bet. Shearer has been in fine form all season, and so a "buy" on the top Premiership scorer's performance could be worthwhile. Scarborough v Chelsea is likely to be a goal-fest, but it's a funny game and the Seadog's passion might cause an upset. It could well be worth "selling" the Blues' supremacy, as a dodgy Scarborough pitch may not help an out of sorts Chelsea.
  • Australian Open
  • It's interesting to see that Sporting Index are making Roddick second favourite for the Open. On paper there's little to separate the youngster and tournament favourite Agassi. They both won a Grand Slam last year, both are suited to the hot weather and both have sailed through the first round in straight sets. However, by his high standard, the elder statesmen had one of his worst years in 2003. In comparison, the A-Rod had his best year, with two semi-finals in addition to that nice little earner at Flushing Meadows.
For once the bookies may have got it wrong, and it may be more tempting to go with the 21 year old World No.1, who is still yet to peak, rather than the 33 year old father of two.
Whatever you prefer, Sporting Index are offering an unbeatable service: 5 different markets for every men's singles match, a range of specials and 5 different long-term Indices including Top North American, South American, European and Best of the Rest.
  • VB Series
  • Still riding high after their strong showing in the test series, India scored a massive 303 against a shell shocked Australian team on Sunday. The Indian batting line up is being hailed as the best in the world by many pundits, and that was before they added a member of the Gavaskar clan to the squad! Have the Australians been usurped? It could well be worth "buying" one or two Indian batsmen, especially Laxman, before the next match begins...
  • Racing
  • Sporting Index are the only spreads firm to cover all the meets, and are expecting a lot of interest for the Pillar Property Chase this Saturday at Cheltenham. It looks like it could be a day for backing the favourites, as one of the senior traders commented: "Jair Du Cochet is expected to do well, though Valley Henry could present a tough challenge as long as the ground remains reasonable. You also can't ignore Therealbandit, but his inexperience will probably let him down in this field."
  • Heineken Cup
  • With only 2 rounds of group stage action before the quarter finals, holders Toulouse are highly fancied to take it again, and are currently quoted at 21-24 to win it this year. Although they have lost a group match already, it 's hard to see who else, except Munster, is going to walk away with the trophy. This market gives 60 points to the winner, 40 to the runner up, 20 to a losing semi-finalist etc, so "buying" at 24 could result in a very nice profit in the spring.
Don't forget that Sporting Index are running a range of generous free bet promotions for all new punters. You can even choose to take £100 in cash deposited straight in to your account.
