Sri Lanka and Windies on course

As if we didn't know it, the opening two qualifying matches of the ICC Champions Trophy proved that Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are still a long way from the finished article and Sri Lanka and West Indies look almost certain to qualify for the main event.
But while the outcome looks obvious, the qualifying process goes on and Sri Lanka take on Zimbabwe in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, with the Sri Lankans 1/100 (1.01) for victory, while you can get 14/1 (15.00) against a Zimbabwe win.
From the way Sri Lanka batted against Bangladesh in the opening match on Saturday when they smahed 302-8 from their 50 overs, they will be confident of going even better should they bat first against Zimbabwe.
The Zimbweans were hapless against West Indies on Sunday when they were skittled for just 85 and there has to be a chance the same sort of thing could happen again on Tuesday.
The omens do not look good, either, as they have beaten Sri Lanka only once in the last 10 matches, and twice in the last 20.
