Gayan Gamage scored 84, then took 3 for 5, as Sri Lanka Jerusalem continued their domination of Division 2 with a 202-run win over Petah Tikva at Hadar Yosef, who remain without a win in their maiden season. Dhanuska also scored 84 in the Jerusalem total of 287. In other Division 2 games, Lod and Ra'anana 2 played out a draw on Friday in Lod, as did Lions Be'er Sheva and Dimona A.
The 'match of the season' in Division 1 proved a slight anti-climax, with Lions Lod scoring 137/5 in reply to Young Ashdod's 253/8 in Ashdod on Saturday. Shai Penkar starred for the hosts with 125. The result takes Young Ashdod to the top of the table, level on points with Ra'anana although having played one extra game, whilst Lions, also with a game in hand, still in the hunt back in third place.
