The most expensive three-match series for Bangladesh's bowlers

South Africa have largely bossed over Bangladesh all along, and this series was no different

17 - Wins for South Africa against Bangladesh in ODIs. They have lost only three matches to them. South Africa have won four of the last five series against Bangladesh.
4 - Instances where Bangladesh have lost by a margin of more than 200 runs in ODIs. This defeat was the joint third worst for them in terms of runs. Two of those defeats have come against South Africa.
1 - Number of wins for Bangladesh in South Africa in all formats from 26 matches. That is the worst win-loss ratio among all the countries they have played in. They have also won only one game in New Zealand as well, from 22 attempts.
0 - Scores higher than the 369 made by South Africa against Bangladesh. They went past the 358 for 4 they made way back in 2008 in Benoni. South Africa average 333 while batting first against Bangladesh at home. Two of their top three scores against Bangladesh in ODIs have come in this series.
369 - Second highest team total in ODIs without a century. Incidentally the highest score was also made by South Africa - when they made 392 against Pakistan in 2007. This is also the highest score in East London going past the 311 for 7 that South Africa made against England in 2005.
4 - Cricketers to score a half-century and take two or more wickets on their ODI debut. Aiden Markram joined the small set of cricketers to accomplish this; Shaun Pollock, Duncan Fletcher and Gary Crocker complete it. Incidentally Markram also made a half-century on his Test debut.
1004 - Runs conceded by Bangladesh in this three-match ODI series - the most they have conceded in a three-match bilateral series. This is also the first time they have conceded more than 1000 runs. The previous highest was 863 runs from three games against Australia in 2011.
7 - Number of half-centuries for Quinton de Kock in ODIs in 2017. He has two centuries as well; he has made 956 runs at 53.11 and is the third-highest run-getter in ODIs in 2017 behind Virat Kohli and Joe Root.
