Succot youth tournament a great success

Over 70 children participated in the ICA Succot youth tournament held at Hadar Yosef on Friday. A total of 10 teams took part, divided into 2 groups - a younger group consisting of teams from Afik School in Be'er Sheva, Ma'ayan School in Be'er Sheva, Al Charizi School in Tel Aviv, Cricket Ra'anana and Tel Aviv; and a older group including teams from Be'er Sheva, Dimona, Tel Aviv, Cricket Ra'anana, and for the first time, Jerusalem.

Although it was the Ra'anana teams that finished undefeated and won both groups, once again it was fantastic to have so many kids taking part, many for the first time, and having great fun batting, bowling and fielding. A special thanks to the umpires without whom the tournament would not have taken place - Safania Nagavkar, Mona Nagavkar, Yonni Sidelsky, Gabi Schachat and Reuven Bergman who all did an excellent job, and to the organizers George Sheader and Steven Shein.
