Connor accepted the award on behalf of the squad that famously beat Australia in a Test series for the first time in 42 years to win the Ashes last summer.
The Sussex all-rounder almost enjoyed double success when she finished second in the individual awards behind Zara Phillips but ahead of the likes of Dame Ellen MacArthur and Paula Radcliffe.
The awards, now in their 18th year, honour outstanding achievement at every level of women's sport and were held at Old Billingsgate Market in London.
After collecting England's trophy, Connor told The Sunday Times: "Awards like this are important because the more people who see what women's cricket is achieving, the better.
"Over 350 clubs in this country now have women's sections, and as we get more and more development officers into clubs and schools, the faster the game will grow.
"Beating the Australians, and being on that bus ride through London, is something I'll never forget. Cricket is a fantastic option for girls and it's good to think it's becoming increasingly available."
