Tender for TV Rights

In response to the offer by SLC to Tender for TV, broadcasting and sponsorship rights for all International cricket matches to be played in Sri Lanka during the period January 2005 to December 2008, Bids from International Companies were received.

The closing date of the bids was on July 22nd 2004. This bid process was handled entirely by a reputed Independent firm of Chartered Accountants with International Affiliations, hence, SLC is not directly involved in this tender process.

Pursuant to the evaluation by the said firm of Chartered Accountants, of the bids received, they would forward same together with their report to the Bid Evaluation Committee which comprises of not only Sri Lanka Cricket Officials but also, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants and especially representatives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The final decision pertaining to the awarding of the Tender will be made by this Bid Evaluation Committee on the recommendation received from the said firm Chartered Accountants.
