Twenty20 tournament 2004

Sri Lanka Cricket is pleased to announce that the first ever Twenty 20 Premier Inter Club Limited Over Tournament would be sponsored by "Janashakthi" Insurance Company Limited. The Official title of this event would be "Janashakthi Twenty 20 Championship" . Given below is the schedule of matches to be played on 2nd and 3rd September 2004 at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

2nd September - Quarter FInals

9. 00 a.m. - CCC vs. Chilaw Marians
12.30 p.m. - NCC Vs Colts
3.30 p.m. - Kurungelaga Vs. Bolmfiled
6.45 p.m. - Moors Vs BRC

11.00 a.m. - 1st Semi - 1 Vs 4
2.30 p.m. - 2nd Semi - 2 Vs. 3
7.00 p.m. - Final- (Under Lights)

The matches would be televised live by Taj TV/Ten Sports with play being described by popular TV commentators -. Tony Greg, Robin Jackman, Dean Jones. Mike Hensmen etc.,

These matches would be shown live on Ten Sports Channel in India, Europe - Middle East etc., and also on Rupavahini within Sri Lanka live Ball by ball Radio commentaries would also be broadcast by the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation. The under-mentioned main awards will be presented after the finals on 3rd September.

a). Winning Team - Rs. 250,000/-+ Trophy
b). Runners-up - Rs. 150,000/- + trophy
c). Man of the Tournament - Rs. 50,000/- + Trophy
