Vaughan now odds-on favourite

After his century in the second innings at Lord's, Kevin Pietersen is now odds-on to be England's top series runscorer against India, but Michael Vaughan is looking good and those of you who followed the advice to back him should be too worried yet

Michael Vaughan's excellent century at Trent Bridge propelled him to the top of the run charts in the series against India and the captain is now odds-on to finish on top of the pile after the third and final Test at The Oval.
Two failures from Kevin Pietersen opened the door for Vaughan and the captain made no mistake, with his second-innings hundred almost giving England a chance of an unlikely victory.
In the end, it was not enough but having been 62 runs behind going to Trent Bridge, he is now 39 ahead of Pietersen and bet365 make him 4/5 to hold that position. Vaughan averages 52 at the Oval so there is no reason he can't stay on top.
Pietersen is 23/20, while Andrew Strauss is an 11/1 chance and Alastair Cook, who could yet have a chance, is 33/1.
