'WACA TEAM OF THE CENTURY' CLOSES TOMORROW

Cricket fans are reminded the 'WACA Team of the Century' competition closes tomorrow, Friday, 18 February, 2000.

In a fantastic response, 32,000 entries have already been received by Australia Post.

Any outstanding entries must reach the Perth Mail Centre by last mail tomorrow.

Entry forms were delivered to letter boxes throughout the metropolitan area early in the month, with householders asked to select the best 12 players to represent WA in the 20th century, along with WA's 'Player of the Century'.

The winning entry, drawn at the Perth Mail Centre on March 10, will receive a trip for two to Melbourne to watch the first one-day international between Australia and South Africa at Colonial Stadium on August 16, 2000.

The 'WA Team of the Century' and 'WA Player of the Century' will be announced at the Swan Brewery Gold Cup Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on April 5.
