Cricket Australia will not be getting involved in the controversy surrounding the allegations against Shane Warne in the South African newspaper, The Sunday Times.
James Sutherland, the CA chief executive, said today that he believed that the issues raised by the allegations concerned only the individuals involved.
"Cricket Australia is aware that international cricketers attract more public and media scrutiny than private individuals," he said. "There are obligations and standards incumbent on players, but there is also a boundary between their public lives and their lives as private citizens."
Warne is currently serving a 12-month suspension from cricket in Australia for a drug offence in the build-up to the World Cup.
