When it comes to the individual player markets in a Test series as the matches go by, there is rarely much value to be gleaned.
However, the market for the top Australia bowler could be the exception to the rule, with Stuart Clark looking a tempting bet at 5/2 (3.50) behind Shane Warne, the 8/13 (1.61) favourite with bet365.
Not only does Clark have two more wickets to his name than Warne so far, he has looked the best of the Aussie seamers and seems sure to play in each of the three remaining Tests, perhaps even in place of veteran Glenn McGrath should there be a choice to be made.
OK, so Warne bowled superbly on the final day in Adelaide and he will be favoured by the Sydney pitch, but those in Perth and Melbourne would appear to favour the seamers, playing into Clark's hands.
Since taking six wickets in the first innings in Brisbane, McGrath has really looked his age and though a heel injury can't be helping, he is struggling for form and even England's batsmen don't appear frightened anymore.
McGrath is still a 4/1 (5.00) chance as he does have nine wickets, the same number as Warne, while Brett Lee, who has bowled well without much reward, not helped by the deadness of the pitches, is 16/1 (17.00).
