The Western Warriors squad to play Victoria in a three-day practice match
has been chosen following trial matches at Lilac Hill over the weekend.
The match will be played at Tompkins Park, Melville from Wedneday,
September 22 to Friday, September 24. Play is from 10.30am-12.30pm,
1.10pm-3.10pm, 3.30pm-5.30pm.
The Western Warriors squad is: Brendon Julian (captain), Jo Angel, Rob
Baker, Sean Cary, Michael Dighton, Brad Hogg, Mike Hussey, Stuart
Karpinnen, Matthew Nicholson, Marcus North, Chris Rogers, Mark Walsh, Brad
Williams.
The Victorian Bushrangers squad is: Paul Reiffel (captain), Jason
Arnberger, Jason Bakker, Darren Berry, Simon Cook, Shawn Craig, John
Davison, Matthew Elliott, Laurie Harper, Andrew Huntington, Mathew Inness,
Matthew Mott, David Saker, Graeme Vimpani.
The sides will then play one-day matches in Kalgoorlie (Sunday, Sept 26)
and James Oval, UWA (Monday, Sept 27 and Tuesday, Sept 28).
The Western Warriors Sheffield Shield defence begins against Victoria at
the WACA on Friday, October 15, 1999.
