The battle scared Western Warriors return home from their horror road-trip
tonight, a day earlier than expected after losing their third Pura Milk Cup
match in succession at the Gabba this morning.
The Warriors left Perth a fortnight ago desperate for points, but return after
outright Pura Milk Cup losses to Victoria and Queensland, along with a win over
the Bushrangers in the Mercantile Mutual Cup.
WA, who now sit fifth on the Pura Milk Cup table with four points from five
first-class matches, must re-group to take on New South Wales at the WACA, in
the match starting this Friday, 17 December.
WA selectors will meet on Monday, 13 December to select a preliminary squad to
play the Blues. They must also wait on an ACB ruling as to the availability of
WA Test representatives Justin Langer and Adam Gilchrist.
