Andrew Symonds rewarded topscore backers with his 65 against South Africa on Friday and the big-hitting middle-order batsman is 11/2 (6.50) to repeat the feat when the two sides meet at the SCG on Sunday.
Captain Ricky Ponting and in-form opener Adam Gilchrist share favouritism at 7/2 (4.50) and both have good claims to be topscorer, even if Ponting averages just 34 on the NSW ground.
Gilchrist, who followed up his fabulous century with 33 on Friday, averages almost 44 at the SCG and has hit three half-centuries in his past six games there.
Simon Katich is 9/2 (5.50) while Damien Martyn is 5/1 (6.00), Michael Hussey - who hit an unbeaten 62 on Friday - is 6/1 (7.00) and the talented Michael Clarke is 15/2 (8.50).
For the first time in the VB Series, Graeme Smith is not the favourite to be his side's top runscorer, probably because of his duck on Friday. Boeta Dippenaar is 7/2 (4.50) favourite, while Smith and Herschelle Gibbs are 4/1 (5.00).
Jacques Rudolph is a 5/1 (6.00) chance while Ashwell Prince and Justin Kemp are both available at 7/1 (8.00).
