WI local: CP's Parris hammers 119

After teasing opponents in the first two matches, Coleridge & Parry's Renaldo Parris took full toll on the Combermere team yesterday. The West Indies Under-15 batsman, who had previous scores of 97 and 78, cracked a solid 119 on the first day of the third series of matches in the Cable & Wireless Under-15 Cricket Competition on his home ground.

The knock featured 17 fours and two sixes as they raced to 306-9 declared, with a half-century from Omar Phillips. In reply, Combermere were at 44-2.

Lodge's Nicholas Squires narrowly missed a century, scoring 98 against Foundation, while St. James' Jedson Haynes took 7-20 against Parkinson.
