Two of Australia's World Cup winners, Adam Gilchrist and Belinda Clark, will be in Darwin this week for the MILO Superclinic.
Gilchrist, part of the side that secured the title at Lord's last June, is currently gearing up for Super Challenge 2000, the forthcoming one-day international series against South Africa, set for Colonial Stadium, Melbourne in August.
And Clark, who played in the women's World Cup success in India in 1997, is working towards a repeat performance when the event takes place again in New Zealand, starting in November.
But both are set to take a break from their busy schedules to head to the Top End and aid cricket development in the Northern Territory.
The duo will be coaching at Marrara cricket ground over a three-day period from 27 June, with 150 local children benefiting from the chance to mix with two of the biggest names in Australian cricket.
The Superclinic is the last one for 1999/2000, with eight further Superclinics scheduled all around Australia in 2000/2001. They form an integral part of the Australian Cricket Board's national junior development program
MILO programs are in place in more than 90 per cent of Australian schools and over 9.5 million children have been involved since the inception of MILO Kanga Cricket in 1983.
Gilchrist is about to start his second year as a MILO Program Presenter while Clark has been presenter for the past six years.
Other international players involved in the scheme are Michael Slater, and Julia Price and Melanie Jones of the Southern Stars, as well as former Australian wicket-keeper Ian Healy.
