Ian Chappell continues to lead after the 15th day of the IPL, but his lead has been trimmed to a slender 124 by Sambit Bal.
Ian got 136 from his trump for the first game, Adam Gilchrist, and 104 from Matthew Hayden in the second. But once again smart trump picks from Sambit held him in good stead. Yusuf Pathan, fetched him 296 points after another Man-of-the-Match performance for the Rajasthan Royals against Deccan Chargers in the first game. And although Sambit's pick for the second game, Delhi Daredevils batsman AB de Villiers, was bowled first ball, he still managed to give 90 points due to his catches earlier.
David Lloyd stayed at No. 3 with 3825 points, and Sanjay Manjrekar is still fourth with 3788. But in terms of points one of the biggest gainers in the past week has been Sanjay. At the beginning of the week he was well over 700 points behind David, but that lead has now come down to a marginal 37 points. And Sanjay is quietly optimistic. "Its been a lull for me for a while, after a rollercoaster ride in the beginning. But I am on an upswing now so No. 3 and 2 better watch out"
