Yuvraj didn't bat much, but his strike-rate helped everyone on the Star Wars table•AFP
Yuvraj Singh didn't really have much time to bat during Kings XI Punjab's comfortable seven-wicket win over Bangalore Royal Challengers, but the 114 trump points he gave both Ian Chappell and Sambit Bal were significant. Sambit continues to lead Ian on the Star Wars table by 25, with a total of 1940.
Ian had said on Friday that there would be "lean pickings" from this game, and sure enough, it wasn't a massive day for any of the four competitors: Sambit also had Yuvraj as trump, a decision that allowed him to hold on to his lead. He could have picked Praveen Kumar but stuck with Yuvraj. Ian only had one player, Yuvraj, from the two teams that played, so it was a doozy.
David Lloyd moved up 187 points but is still at third. He had Yuvraj but didn't make him trump, instead opting for Irfan Pathan, who fetched him 130 points. Sanjay Manjrekar got handy trump points from Yuvraj as well, but with Dale Steyn being rested for this match he missed out on points there.
