Mahmudul Hasan will captain Bangladesh Under-19 in their home series against England and Zimbabwe in October-November in preparation of the U-19 World Cup in New Zealand in January.
Mahmudul, an offspinner and right-hand batsman, who played in the World Cup in Malaysia in 2008, also led the side in their ODI series win in England earlier this year. Amit Majumder and Saikat Ali are the two other players from the World Cup squad to feature in this side. The teams will play a four-day Test from October 16 to October 19 in Chittagong followed by seven ODIs between October 23 and November 4 in Chittagong, Fatullah and Mirpur. Then Zimbabwe U-19 will come for five ODIs between November 13 and November 21.
The squad includes left-arm spinner Shaker Ahmed and legspinner Nur Hossain.
