South Africa Women will not be arriving in Dhaka on November 3, as was previously announced by both the BCB and Cricket South Africa. The delay is likely to reduce the number of matches from the scheduled three ODIs and four T20s, while the venues could also be changed.

The tour was earlier temporarily postponed due to CSA's security fears following Australia's postponement of their men's team's tour to Bangladesh for the same reasons.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that CSA had sent over a security consultant from Nepal to independently assess the security situation in Bangladesh, and it was done on Monday. He said that CSA then informed the BCB of the delay, and now the two boards are working on a new schedule as Zimbabwe Women are also scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh this month.

"They [CSA] told us that due to logistical reasons, the team cannot arrive on Tuesday," Chowdhury told ESPNcricinfo. "They will let us know their next date of arrival shortly.

"We will work out the new dates [with CSA] since the Zimbabwe women's team are also arriving on November 15 or 16. In that case we may have to shorten the tour. Those details will be known soon."

South Africa Women were supposed to play three ODIs on November 6, 8 and 10, and four T20s on November 12, 13, 15 and 16.
