Michael Carberry has returned to training with Hampshire as he continues his recovery from cancer.
Carberry, the former England opener, missed the second half of the 2016 season after being diagnosed with a cancerous tumour in July. He had a successful operation before Christmas and is now working his way back to fitness.
"Michael is doing really well and it's great to see him back in the nets and striking the ball," Hampshire's director of cricket, Giles White, said.
"Obviously it's still fairly early on in terms of working his way back to full fitness and there's currently no timetable for a return to playing, but we'll see how he progresses over the coming weeks and be sure to continue to support him in whatever way we can."
In 2010, Carberry suffered a potentially life-threatening blood clot on the lung but came back to add to his England caps, playing in all five Tests on the 2013-14 Ashes tour.
