Steve Waugh became the leading run-scorer for Australia
against Pakistan during his knock of 6. Steve Waugh has
a tally of 837 runs in 38 matches against Pakistan at
the end of this match and he surpassed Dean Jones' tally
of 832 runs (from 21 matches). Just for the record, West
Indian Desmond Haynes holds the record of aggregating
most runs in a career against Pakistan - 2390 in 65
matches.Michael Bevan equalled his highest score against
Pakistan. He has now scored seven fifties in just 15
innings against Pakistan.Moin Khan equalled the ODI record for most dismissals
by a 'keeper in a match by claiming five dismissals (3
catches+2 stumpings). Moin also became the fifth 'keeper
after India's Nayan Mongia (3), WestIndies' Ridley Jacobs
(3), South Africa's Dave Richardson (2) and Zimbabwe's
Andy Flower (2) to do so on more than one occasion. Moin
thus remained the 17th 'keeper to claim five dismissals
in a match providing 24th such instance. It was the
third such instance by a Pakistan 'keeper. Moin, himself,
had held five catches against Zimbabwe at Harare on
26-02-1995, while Rashid Latif held four catches and
effected one stumping against New Zealand at Lahore on
06-03-1996.Moin became second 'keeper to effect five dismissals in
a match against Australia after Sri Lanka's Guy deSilva,
who had held five catches at Colombo PSS on 13-04-1983.Moin also became only the second 'keeper to make five
dismissals in a WSC/C&U match after West Indian Courtney
Browne, who held five catches in the match against Sri
Lanka at Brisbane on 05-01-1996. Incidentally the
previous best performance by a Pakistani 'keeper in a WSC/
C&U match was in the name of Rashid Latif, who made
four dismissals against West Indies at Perth on 04-12-
1992.With his allround performance Moin Khan became only the
third 'keeper in ODI history to perform the allround
feat of scoring 25 plus runs and effecting five dismissals
in same match after Zimbabwe's Andy Flower (35 runs and 5
catches versus England at Harare on 03-01-1997) and West
Indian Ridley Jacobs (80* runs and 5 catches versus New
Zealand at Southampton on 24-05-1999).The dismissal of Shane Lee was 200th for Moin Khan in
his 153rd match (including 54 stumpings). However three
of Moin's 146 catches were taken in the field. Hence
'technically' Moin hasn't still joined the ranks of
Australia's Ian Healy (234 dismissals in 168 matches)
and WestIndies' Jeff Dujon (202 dismissals in 166
matches).Michael Bevan won his fifth MoM award.
