Left-arm spinner Akshay Darekar took 4 for 84, adding to his first-innings haul of six wickets, to help Maharashtra beat Assam by 128 runs in Guwahati. Maharashtra, who are already through to the quarterfinals of the Ranji Trophy, finished the league stage with 35 points, while the loss ensured that Assam finished seventh in Group C.
Starting from their overnight score of 94 for 4, Assam lost their first wicket in the fourth over of the morning. A 52-run seventh-wicket stand between Dheeraj Jadhav and Kunal Saikia offered Assam some resistance, but both batsmen were dismissed in successive overs. Assam limped to 215 before Samad Fallah dismissed Abu Nechim to give Maharashtra the victory. Darekar finished the game with the second ten-wicket haul of his first-class career.

Kerala settled for a fifth-place finish in Group C after their draw against Hyderabad, ending the fourth day at 146 for 2.
Hyderabad, who began the fourth morning at 329 for 5 extended their score by another 100 runs, after an 84-run, sixth-wicket stand between Amol Shinde and Ashish Reddy. Reddy was dismissed for 50 and Hyderabad lost a few quick wickets before being dismissed for 429. Shinde was the last Hyderabad wicket to fall and the batsman missed his maiden first-class hundred by nine runs.
Chasing 367, the Kerala openers VA Jagadeesh and Nikhilesh Surendran struck fifties, while Rohan Prem was unbeaten on 32.
