S Badrinath scored a double-hundred after nearly four years which powered Tamil Nadu to a mammoth 532 for 8 on the second day against Madhya Pradesh in Indore.
Badrinath and Dinesh Karthik resumed at 294 for 3 and the latter added only 12 to his name before he was caught and bowled by Anand Rajan. The partnership between R Prasanna added 57 but Prasanna scored only 13 of those as he was caught behind off Salman Baig. Vijay Shankar lasted a little longer, scoring 24, putting up 66 for the sixth wicket. Captain L Balaji fell soon after and the next stand between Badrinath and No. 9 Aswin Crist wasn't a big one either as Badrinath was dismissed for 248 by left-arm spinner Rameez Khan.
Crist stayed unbeaten on a patient 44 as TN continued to add to MP's agony. Amarjeet Singh, Salman Baig and Khan picked two wickets each.

Anureet Singh took his fifth first-class five-wicket haul to help bundle Saurashtra out for 165, but Railways failed to capitalise on the low score, as most of their top order departed for cheap scores. They finished the day at 61 for 4, still 104 runs behind.
A flurry of wickets on day one had left Saurashtra precariously placed at 88 for 4, but Aarpit Vasavada and the captain Jaydev Shah led the recovery with a 66-run stand for the fifth wicket. The pair made 44 and 45 respectively, but barring a 32 from Chirag Jani, none of the other batsmen managed more than 9, as Anureet and Hardik Rathod cleaned up Saurashtra's tail-enders to bowl them out in 75.4 overs.
However, Railways began their innings poorly, as the openers Shivakant Shukla and Amit Paunikar were dismissed early. Jaydev Unadkat finished the day with 2 for 9, but Mahesh Rawat and Nitin Bhille batted out the remaining 6.4 overs, with the game still finely balanced.
Bengal were strongly placed to take the first-innings lead against Rajasthan after the second day in Jaipur. Quick bowler Ashok Dinda helped Bengal polish off the tail within the first hour, finishing with 4 for 58 as Rajasthan ended on a moderate 244.
Bengal began well, openers Rohan Banerjee and Arindam Das putting on 96 for the first wicket before Das was bowled by Pankaj Singh for 32. Banerjee persevered, going on to make 77 and push Bengal to 171 for 2 before being dismissed off the penultimate over of the day. Wriddhiman Saha, who is pushing for a recall to the India squad, remained unbeaten on 34.
