Habibul Bashar
On Bangladesh's batting performance
We haven't batted well. We had the chance to score big runs. The way [Mohammad] Ashraful and Shahriar [Nafees] were playing, we thought we could score something around 230 or 240. If you can score 230 or 240 it would have been a good match .
Bangladesh have to win the game tomorrow, of course
It's important that we come back tomorrow. We have to come back strongly.
On another successful innings from Mohammad Ashraful
He has some problems with his consistency but he has been batting well.

Ricky Ponting

This was a pretty easy win for you today
We did what we had to do today after an untidy start for us. Andrew Symonds and Brad Hogg bowled very well again for us.
Was it your decision for Symonds to bowl his offspin, rather than medium pace?
It was. The wicket was dry enough this morning, but I thought with the overhead conditions, the ball would have swung more, but it wasn't like that and the spinners did their job, and I'm very happy with that.
Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden took you home in style
They're not bad players those two, when they got going and get their backs up. And, as the series goes on, we should see us making bigger totals.

Andrew Symonds

How did you find it bowling out there?
It was a nice surface to bowl spin on today. It would have been more difficult for us if they had got some more runs. I have to bowl to the conditions, but it's nice to bowl well. We are starting to get into the full stride now.
