1294 Alastair Cook's Test aggregate in 2015, the highest among England captains in a calendar year. He went past Graham Gooch's aggregate of 1264 in 1990. Among all captains, Cook is in seventh place; the best is Graeme Smith's 1656 in 2008, while his current aggregate is sixth among all England batsmen.
